This is part of a new series exploring the juxtaposition of the sky and the abstract hint of a flat landscape of red dirt.
I want to explore the colour combinations of textures to show the rich patterns seen in the sky. All of this is done on the canvas and there is little room for error. This has taught me how to plan my strokes of the palette knife carefully, but in the end the result is not something I can control.
