This painting was a long time coming - I skipped over the letter to complete K, L and started on M.

The meaning of the word was stopping me

How do I convey mental shallowness? I thought while creating this work, somehow it seems simple but there are a lot of layer. I don’t think I did this word justice because something shallow wouldn’t be interesting to look at a long time. I find myself coming back again to this painting with it’s depths of green and swirls of white amongst it. Almost like a fish swimming upstream.

The word Jejune is beautiful but its meaning is not. I hope you don’t hold it against this painting because it deserves to be seen.
